The UK government has extended existing antidumping duties on certain welded tubes and pipes originating in China and Belarus for an additional five-year period, according to a decision by the Trade Remedies Authority following an expiry review. Imports from China will continue to face a duty rate of 90.6 percent, while imports from Belarus will remain subject to a 38.1 percent duty. These measures, which took effect on January 30, 2026, will remain in place until January 30, 2031.
The antidumping duties apply to welded steel products classified under UK commodity codes 7306304120, 7306304920, 7306307280, and 7306307780. The extension represents a continuation of the UK's trade remedies policy designed to protect domestic steelmakers from what authorities have determined to be dumped imports from these two countries. This decision follows a review process initiated by the Trade Remedies Authority to assess whether the continuation of these protective measures remained necessary.
