Helios Technologies Expands No Roads Platform with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Integration

Helios Technologies' Electronics segment announced on September 1, 2026, an expansion of its No Roads platform to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The integration extends smartphone-style connectivity capabilities to marine, powersports, overlanding, and specialty vehicle applications, marking a significant step in the company's strategic pivot toward higher-value electronic controls systems. This expansion supports Helios Technologies' broader transformation narrative, which centers on transitioning from its historical hydraulics-focused business model toward more sophisticated, electronics-rich integrated systems.

The No Roads platform enhancement aligns with rising customer expectations for connected work and recreation vehicles, positioning the company to address evolving market demands beyond traditional roadway applications. In parallel with this product development, Helios Technologies demonstrated confidence in its strategic direction through recent financial guidance. In its Q2 2026 update, management raised full-year sales guidance to a range of US$880 million to US$900 million.

More notably, the Electronics segment achieved more than 500 basis points of gross margin expansion during the period, suggesting successful execution of the shift toward higher-margin electronic platforms. The company's investment narrative projects revenue reaching US$1.0 billion by 2029, requiring 4.8% annual revenue growth. Earnings are projected at US$118.7 million by 2029, representing a US$47.3 million increase from the US$71.4 million baseline.

This trajectory depends on whether newer platforms like No Roads and OpenView can effectively offset potential headwinds from legacy hydraulic products and cyclical end-market pressures. However, investors should carefully consider medium-term risks. Prolonged weakness in construction, agriculture, and recreational equipment markets could still pressure volumes and margins in the near term.

Additionally, the company faces a longer-term strategic challenge regarding its reliance on traditional hydraulic solutions, as electrification and digital controls increasingly reshape demand patterns across industrial equipment markets. Market analysts display varying degrees of optimism about the company's growth trajectory. Optimistic analyst views project revenue approaching US$1.1 billion and earnings around US$120 million by 2029, contingent on faster-than-expected scaling of No Roads and other connected platforms.
